BorderLore LIVE / This Is Folklife: The Ways of Resilience Part II
Tanisha Tucker is the daughter of the late Stella Tucker, matriarch of the saguaro fruit harvest. Tanisha draws on her Tohono O’odham family wisdom to celebrate local food systems and the desert bounty.

The Ways of Resilience is a 4-part series of live chats with 4 amazing artists / culture bearers who’ll share stories from their lives and practice on resilience and where they find it and how it shows up in their work. All artists and heritage practitioners are recipients of Southwest Folklife Alliance’s Master-Apprentice Artist Award recognizing traditional artists and culture bearers in Arizona.

Additional events will occur on June 17 (7pm), and June 24 (12 noon). Visit SouthwestFolklife.org for more information.
